Abstract
A fluorinated acyl fluoride having an ester group which has the formula EQU FOC(CF.sub.2).sub.n-1 CO.sub.2 R wherein n is 2 to 4 and R represents an alcohol residual group is produced by reacting a perfluorolactone having the formula ##STR1## wherein n represents an integer of 2 to 4, with an alcohol having the formula EQU ROH wherein R represents an alcohol residual group.
