Abstract
A silicon-phthalocyanine-siloxy monomer having the formula: EQU PcSi(OSiR'Ph(OSiR".sub.2 ).sub.r X).sub.2 wherein X is a hydroxyl group or unreido group having the formula: ##STR1## Pc is a phthalocyanine nucleus, R' and R" are alkyl groups having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and r is an integer from 1 to 4. The monomers are useful as dyes and in polymer synthesis as reactive intermediates.
