Abstract
The drive motor for the yarn storage device is controlled by a circuit arrangement which converts a direct current into a variable-frequency three-phase alternating current. The circuit arrangement includes an integrator to produce a trapezoidal control voltage as well as an oscillator, digital counting circuit, three inverter stages and three amplifiers which emit sinusoidal phase currents to the windings of the drive motor. An electromagnetic brake is also used to brake the drive motor.
