Abstract

A thermoplastic resin composition containing (I) a graft copolymer of a polyphenylene ether with a styrene type compound, containing substantially no homopolymer of polyphenylene ether, and (II) a graft copolymer of an ethylene copolymer of ethylene and not more than 40 mol percent of at least one unsaturated compound of the formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--OCOR.sub.1 or CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sub.2 --COOR.sub.3 (wherein R.sub.1 denotes an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each denote a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms) with a styrene type compound has improved properties such as Izod impact strength, oil resistance and weathering resistance.
