Abstract

A stabilizer composition is disclosed that enhances the resistance to deterioration upon heating of vinyl chloride polymers. The stabilizer composition comprises (A) a metal salt of a non-nitrogenous monocarboxylic acid or hydrocarbon-substituted phenol and (B) an aromatic carboxylic acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol having at least two alcoholic hydroxyl groups in a polyhydric alcohol aromatic carboxylic acid ester group. Vinyl chloride polymer compositions stabilized with the above disclosed stabilizer composition are also disclosed.
