An osseous cement for orthopedic or dental application, which comprises the admixture of 10 to 40% weight of organic or inorganic particles wherein said particles are soluble in the extracellular fluid of the body, and are essentially non-toxic, 20 to 40% weight of an acrylic monomer and 35 to 65% weight of an insoluble particulate filler having a particle size of less than 100.mu..
