Abstract
This invention relates to novel compounds having the formula I: ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen; R' is amino lower alkyl wherein the amino group is unsubstituted or substituted by mono- or di(lower alkyl); and X is S or SO.sub.2 ; and the non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which are useful as antidepressants. Intermediates having the formula IV, which are used in the preparation of the compounds having the formula I are also disclosed: ##STR2## wherein R is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen; and X is S or SO.sub.2.
