Abstract

Aqueous dispersions of cross-linkable alkyd and/or amino resins, which contain reactive surface active compounds produced by addition of glycide and/or ethylene oxide to a starting compound having a hydrophobic aliphatic radical, optionally substituted by an aryl radical, which contains al least one labile hydrogen atom which can react with an epoxide, wherein the number of hydroxyl groups in said surface active compounds is between 2 and 30, are useful as coating agents or varnish binding agents.
