Abstract
The invention is directed to fluorinated compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.f is a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkoxyperfluoroalkyl group, R.sup.1 is a branched or straight chain alkylene, alkylenethioalkylene, alkyleneoxyalkylene or alkyleneiminoalkylene group, X is oxygen or an amino group, Q is an organic group containing at least one amino group and y is zero or 1, and the corresponding succinimides. These compounds are useful as surfactants.
