Abstract

The invention relates to compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently of one another are C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 -cycloalkyl or C.sub.7 -C.sub.9 -aralkyl, PA1 R.sub.3 is --CN or a group either of the formula II or III EQU --(c.sub.n H.sub.2n)--COOR.sub.4 (II) or EQU --[(C.sub.n H.sub.2n)--COO].sub.q M.sup.q+ (III) PA1 wherein n is 0 to 6, PA1 R.sub.4 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 -alkyl, phenyl, or alkyl-substituted phenyl having 1-12 C atoms in the alkyl moiety, PA1 Q is 1, 2 or 3, PA1 M.sup.q+ is H.sup.+ or a mono-, bi- or trivalent metallic cation, and PA1 X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are --O-- or --S--, which are suitable as antioxidants and light stabilizers for organic material.
