Abstract
A process for reacting linseed oil and boric acid by adding to linseed oil heated to at least 260.degree. F., boric acid per se preliminarily dissolved in boiling water, allowing the water-containing mixture to cool and thereafter physically separating the reaction products. When the reaction product is precipitated crystals, such crystals can be further purified by washing with organic solvents.
