Abstract
A vehicle with energy absorbing chassis members has an engine unit attached to the chassis by severable mounts. A tension strap is provided to impede the forward motion of the engine unit on the occurrence of an accident. The tension strap exerts restraining force on the engine unit only after the severance of the engine mounts.
