Abstract

A flexible shield and bumper combination, more particularly for a private motor vehicle, has a substantially straight, rigid bumper and a yieldable, wrap round shield of U-shape mounted on the bumper. The shield is attached to the opposite sides of the vehicle by means of slidable connections. The shield is so constructed and secured to the bumper that it takes up relatively light frontal or obliquely frontal shocks and transfers heavier shocks to the bumper.
