Abstract

Organic heat-sensitive semiconductive compounds composed of (N-n-propylpyridinium) (7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane).sub.2 and (N-n-propylthiazolium) (7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane).sub.2 or (N-n-butylthiazolium) (7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane).sub.2. The compound using the propylthiazolium component exhibits phase transition phenomena in a wide range of temperatures lower than that of the basic component of (N-n-propylpyridinium) (TCNQ).sub.2. While, the compound using the butylthiazolium component shows inherent temperature hystereses different from that of the basic component.
