Abstract
Disclosed herein are compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer from 1 to 8; PA1 R is hydrogen or lower alkyl; PA1 Y is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, chlorine, fluorine, or trifluoromethyl in the 7, 8, or 9 position; PA1 A is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phen(lower)alkyl, or diphenyl(lower)alkyl; and PA1 the pyridinyl or piperidinyl moiety is joined to the alkylene bridging group at the 2 or 4 position; or non-toxic acid addition salts thereof. These compounds exhibit hypotensive effects in hypertensive animals and also exhibit anti-secretory properties.
