Abstract
A method for producing sand-lime bricks of low bulk density and having a green strength of at least 1 kp/cm.sup.2 in which at least 1% by weight of cement is added to a mixture of sand, lime and water and the mixture is then compacted in molds by vibration or under a pressure of less than 150 kp/cm.sup.2 to form bricks which are subsequently cured.
