Abstract

Corticosteroid formulations in the form of creams, lotions or ointments are provided which are used as anti-inflammatory agents, wherein the corticosteroid, such as halcinonide (21-chloro-9-fluoro-11.beta.-hydroxy-16.alpha.,17-[(1-methylethylidene)-bi s(oxy)]pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione) is dissolved in a sebacate carrier, such as dibutyl sebacate.
