Abstract
Hydrated strontium fluosilicates activated with divalent europium, having the formula: EQU Sr.sub.1-x Eu.sub.x.sup.2+ SiF.sub.6 .multidot.2H.sub.2 O wherein 0<x.ltoreq.0.5, are novel luminophors which emit black light.
