Abstract

Pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, having an untensilized crystalline isotactic polypropylene or linear high density polyethylene film backing with a pattern of alternating ridges and valleys on one side, is especially adapted for use as a tab closure for diapers. The ridges are so disposed that, when a tab is cut from the tape, at least some of the ridges extend at an angle of 60.degree. or less to the lateral edge of the tab, thereby minimizing any tendency toward inadvertent tearing.
