Abstract
This invention relates to a bioabsorbable fused implant for subcutaneous administration in mammals of a constant and effective amount of a steroid over a prolonged period comprising a solid dispersion of an effective amount of a steriod uniformly dispersed in a matrix of a lipoid carrier the weight of steroid to lipoid carrier being within the approximate range of 99:1 to 80:20, respectively, and to the method of manufacturing the fused implants.
