Abstract

A diazo pigment dye having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen, chlorine or bromine atom or a nitro group, and PA1 R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 a hydrogen or chlorine atom or a methyl or methoxy group. A new coupling component for preparing the pigment is also disclosed. The dye possesses good tinctorial and advantageous environmental properties. Methods for preparing the dye are disclosed.
