Abstract
An ink for an ink-jet printer having a specific resistance of 1 k.OMEGA.-cm or less and comprising (1) as an organic solvent in a vehicle (a) dichloromethane or (b) a mixed solvent of dichloromethane and at least one member selected from halogenated lower alkanes except for dichloromethane and halogenated lower alkenes and (2) as a coloring agent (a) a basic dye or (b) a mixture of a basic dye and at least one selected from oil-soluble dyes and organic pigments can ink-jet print letters, symbols, etc. on a hydrophobic substrate.
