Abstract
In the precipitation of a tin-containing component and a phosphorus-containing component from an acid solution with a base to prepare a catalyst of improved selectivity to produce diolefin from corresponding mono-olefin there is used with the base, or thereafter, a water-soluble sulfide. The water-soluble sulfide can be at least one of an alkali-and an alkaline earth metal sulfide and ammonium sulfide.
