Abstract

Synergistic arthropodicidal compositions comprising a carbamate, carboxylic acid ester or phosphate ester and an .alpha.-substituted-3,4-methylenedioxyphenylacetonitrile of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, halogen or nitro, PA1 R.sup.1 represents alkyl or hydrogen, and PA1 R.sup.2 represents aralkyl, alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl or may represent hydrogen, provided that R represents alkyl, alkenyl or nitro, or PA1 R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together represent an alkylene radical.
