Abstract
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer comprising substantially surface latent image type silver halide grains, and containing in said photographic emulsion layer or at least one of other hydrophilic colloid layers a compound represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group which may be substituted or an aromatic group which may be substituted; Ar represents a divalent aromatic group which may be substituted; Y represents a divalent linking group; n represents 0 or 1; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group which may be substituted or an aromatic group which may be substituted; and Z represents a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form a 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic ring together with the ##STR2## linkage.
