Abstract
A method of making an insecticidal pyrethrin by oxidation in aprotic organic solvent. The compounds are of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.11 is straight or branched chain lower alkyl or 1-alkenyl or hydrogen; PA1 R and R.sup.12 are the same or different and are hydrogen, halogen or lower alkyl or one of the moieties R and R.sup.12 is lower alkoxycarbonyl.
