Abstract
A process is disclosed for coloring fiber materials selected from cellulose, natural or synthetic polyamides, and mixtures thereof, which comprises applying to said fiber material a water soluble dyestuff which, in the form of the free acid, has the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3 is halogen and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy and ethoxy, and fixing said dyestuff on said fiber material by the action of an alkaline agent and the optional additional application of heat or steam . The dyestuffs utilized are distinguished by outstanding fastness properties such as fastness to light, wet processing and acid.
