Abstract
Disclosure is made of a surgical instrument, comprising a supporting body with a replaceable die, a magazine with staples, a carriage-holder, a staple ejector, a carriage-holder mechanical actuator, and a staple ejector mechanical actuator. The replaceable die is provided with a shaped guide plate corresponding to each of the suture types. The end surface of the magazine and of the staple ejector are also shaped so as to suit the type of suture being applied and to conform to the shape of a respective die.
