Abstract
Chloroprene is produced by continuous dehydrochlorinating 3,4-dichlorobutene- 1 at 40.degree.-70.degree. C. in two phase liquid mixture of water and alcohol with standing alkali metal hydroxide of not more than 10% by weight in aqueous phase and separating an organic liquid phase containing chloroprene from the resulting mixture.
