Abstract

The invention relates to stabilized, pulverulent red phosphorus, consisting of phosphorus particles having a particle size of at most about 2 mm, and an oxidation stabilizer which envelops the phosphorus particles in the form of a thin layer, wherein PA1 (a) the oxidation stabilizer is a combination of aluminum hydroxide and a hardened epoxide resin system having an epoxide equivalent weight of about 170 to 500, PA1 (b) the total amount of the oxidation stabilizer is 0.1-5% by weight, based on the amount of red phosphorus, and PA1 (c) the proportion of aluminum hydroxide is about 0.01 to 3% by weight, and the proportion of epoxide resin is about 0.09 to 4.99% by weight, in each case based on the amount of the red phosphorous.
