Abstract

A ternary molding composition formed from an admixture of ethylene-propylene copolymer, polypropylene homopolymer, and polyethylene, which comprises 38-48% by weight of a partially crystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer with an ethylene content of at least 65% by weight, a melt index MFI (230/5) of 0.7-2.0 g/10 min, and a tensile strength of higher than 5.0 N/mm.sup.2 ; 27-63% by weight of a polypropylene homopolymer with a melt index MFI (230/5) of 25-65 g/10 min; and 3-30% by weight of polyethylene with a melt index MFI (230/5) of 15-20 g/10 min, the molding composition having a melt index MFI (230/5) of at least 8 g/10 min, a tensile strength of at least 15 N/mm.sup.2 and an elongation at yield of at least 450%.
