Abstract

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described, comprising at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer, wherein at least one layer contains a compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; PA1 R.sup.3 represents hydrogen or an aliphatic group, and PA1 X represents a divalent aromatic group. The light-sensitive material provides high-contrast negative images and good dot image quality.
