Abstract
A durable antisoiling coating composition for textile filaments and articles made therefrom comprises a perfluoroalkyl ester of a citric acid urethane and fluorinated alcohols in combination with a modified epoxy resin which is the reaction product of a carboxyl-functional vinyl polymer, an epoxy resin and a tertiary amine. The composition can be applied as an aqueous dispersion, including a non-ionic textile lubricant based on poly(ethylene glycol). The dispersion can be used as a spin finish to provide durable protection to filaments, particularly nylon filaments.
