Abstract

4-Phenoxy-4-(azolyl-1-yl)-butanoic acid derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which A is --CO-- or CH(OH)--, PA1 Y is --CH.dbd. or --N.dbd., PA1 Z is halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, halogenoalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkoxycarbonyl, phenyl, phenoxy, phenylalkyl, substituted phenyl, phenoxy or phenylalkyl, amino, cyano or nitro, PA1 R is cyano, --CO--OR.sup.3 or --CO--NR.sup.4 R.sup.5, PA1 R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is alkyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl, or conjointly form a carbocyclic ring, PA1 R.sup.3 is alkyl, PA1 R.sup.4 is hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl and PA1 R.sup.5 is hydrogen or alkyl, or PA1 R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 conjointly form a methylene bridge --(CH.sub.2).sub.m -- which can contain a further hetero-atom, PA1 m is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, PA1 n is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, and salts thereof, which possess fungicidal properties.
