Abstract
An engine-driven model toy having an engine, an electric motor connected to the engine and a power source battery, and characterized in that the electric motor, powered by the battery, drives the engine at the start of the engine while, during the continuous operation of the engine, the electric motor is driven by the revolution of the engine to charge the battery is disclosed. Also, an engine-driven model toy characterized in that the engine and the electric motor are connected through a transmission mechanism capable of changing over the engine/motor speed ratio at predetermined values in accordance with the starting and continuous operation modes of the engine is disclosed.
