Abstract

Aqueous dispersions containing from 30% to 70% by weight of cross-linkable copolymers based on esters of (meth)acrylic acid comprising esters of (meth)acrylic acid and/or styrene, and other ethylenically-unsaturated compounds copolymerizable therewith and from 1% to 15% by weight based on the total weight of the copolymer, of allyl esters of .alpha.-hydroxycarboxylic acids. These dispersions can be used as a base of stoving enamels, which can be hardened to obtain coats of great surface hardness and great flexibility on metals.
