Abstract
In a method for developing electrostatic images comprising facing an electrostatic image bearing member bearing electrostatic images on the surface to a support member having a toner particle layer on the surface, when the triboelectric charge of the toner is q(c/g), thickness of the toner particle layer, d(mm), is adjusted to satisfy the following formula: EQU 3.times.10.sup.-8 <.vertline.q.d.vertline.<5.times.10.sup.-6
