Abstract

The invention relates to a particulate agent based on a free-flowing pulverulent ammonium polyphosphate for impeding the combustibility of combustible substances, the agent containing PA0 (a) about 75 to 99.9 weight % of ammonium polyphosphate and PA0 (b) about 0.1 to 25 weight % of a hardened, water-insoluble phenol resin (phenol/formaldehyde-resin) enveloping the individual ammonium polyphosphate particles.
