Abstract

Improved method and apparatus for indicating losses of stored liquid materials or penetration of liquid in liquid storage tanks, in connection with a liquid meter. The level change is automatically measured by means of a level meter as a function of time intervals, and a level change not caused by removal or filling under normal operation conditions is indicated as a loss of stored material (such as e.g. due to theft or leaks) or as a penetration of liquid (such as e.g. ground water).
