Abstract

These catalysts comprise: PA1 A refractory oxide-mineral carrier; PA1 a halogen element, present in combined form; and, PA1 in free or combined form, PA2 (a) a platinum-group metal, and PA2 (b) tin. They are characterized in that they contain, moreover, a metal from groups Ia and IIa of the periodic table of the elements. Specifically, said metal from groups Ia and IIa may be sodium, lithium, potassium, calcium or barium.
