Abstract

Reaction of monohydroxy-fatty acids of the formula EQU CH.sub.3 --(CH.sub.2).sub.m --CHOH--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --COOH where m is an integer from 4 to 9 and n is an integer from 6 to 11, with from 12 to 20 moles of ethylene oxide, the products thus obtained, and their use as solubilizers.
