Abstract

A composite material comprising polyvinyl chloride, talc and a polyamide and/or amide compound is disclosed. The talc used is comprised of 85% or more by weight of particles having a diameter of 10 microns or less. The polyamide used has a softening point of less than 200.degree. C. The amide compound used is in preference alkylene bis-amide or methylolated aliphatic amide. The composite material contains up to 30 parts by weight of the polyamide or the amide compound per 100 parts by weight of the talc used. The disclosed polyvinyl chloride composite material has an improved impact strength and improved thermal stability.
