Abstract
A photographic element for tanning development which comprises a support, a layer of silver halide emulsion in non-hardened gelatin including a tanning developer dispersed therein, and over said emulsion layer, a layer of non-hardened gelatin comprising at least one colored pigment dispersed therein, characterized by the silver in said silver halide emulsion layer being present in a quantity of less than 0.6 g/m.sup.2 with a silver/gelatin ratio of less than 0.4. A method for obtaining a colored relief image in such an element is shown.
