Abstract
4,4'-Dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone is isolated from a mixture of dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone isomers by heat dissolving the mixture in phenol and then cooling the resulting solution thereby allowing 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone to precipitate as an adduct with phenol.
