Abstract

Aqueous, electro-dipping varnish/coating material, which can be deposited at the cathode and which contains PA0 (A) as cationic synthetic resin binder, an amino group-containing carrier resin with an amine number of 50 to 200 and a hydroxyl number of 50 to 400, PA0 (B) as nonionic synthetic resin binder, a water-insoluble wire-coating resin from the group of polyesterimides, polyesteramidimides and polyhydantoins with a melting point higher than 60.degree. C. in an amount of 50 to 2000 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component A, and PA0 (C) transesterification catalysts, which are essentially stable in water, in an amount of 0.1 to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of components A and B and processes for coating electrical conductors therewith.
