Abstract

Navy dye mixtures which contain, as essential components, compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## where X is chlorine or bromine, Y is methoxy or ethoxy, and R is ##STR2## NHC.sub.2 H.sub.4 CN, NHCH.sub.2 CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 or N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2, and wherein the dye of the above formula where X is Br, Y is OCH.sub.3 or OC.sub.2 H.sub.5 and R is N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2 is present in an amount of 25-45%, based on the total weight of the mixture, are very useful for dyeing synthetic polyesters.
