Abstract

A process for dyeing or finishing textile fibre material using foam, which process comprises applying to said materials an aqueous foam composition which, in addition to containing dye or finishing agent, contains a foamable system comprising water and at least PA0 (A) an anionic surfactant and PA0 (B) a non-ionic block polymer based on ethylene oxide and propylene oxide units. The material is then dried, if desired, and then subjected to a heat treatment, preferably a steam treatment. Level dyeings with good penetration of dye and/or excellent finishes are obtained on the material.
