Abstract
A laundry outlet box comprises a box-like one-piece molded plastic housing having top, bottom and side walls circumscribing an axis of the box and a back wall and open front face normal to such axis. The bottom wall of the housing slopes downwardly toward the center to a drain opening and is provided at its underside with a tailpipe adaptor including coextensive radially spaced pipe-like extensions concentric with the drain opening, which extensions are adapted for selective coupling to drain pipes of different sizes. The housing is adapted to be recess mounted in a wall between vertical wall supports by interchangeable L-shape mounting brackets arranged in pairs on each side of the box with the laterally extending legs vertically spaced apart and adapted to have optionally secured therebetween electrical outlet boxes at one or both sides of the box. One leg of each bracket extends axially into a respective mounting loop on the side wall of the housing and is axially adjustably secured therein so that the box can be mounted in the wall in one of a plurality of axially adjusted positions.
