Abstract

.alpha.-Azolyl-glycol derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl, PA0 R.sup.2 is alkyl or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, PA0 R.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or unsubstituted or substituted benzyl, PA0 R.sup.4 is unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, arylalkyl or heteroarylalkyl or, where n=1, may also be unsubstituted or substituted aryl or heteroaryl, PA0 X is CH or N and PA0 n is O or 1, their salts and metal complexes tolerated by crop plants, their preparation, and agents containing these derivatives for controlling fungi and regulating plant growth.
