Abstract

A process for the production of moldings from unsaturated polyester resins wherein a mixture is first prepared from PA0 1. an unsaturated polyester, PA0 2. a copolymerizable vinyl compound, PA0 3. an inhibitor, PA0 4. a photoinitiator, PA0 5. a thickener, preferably MgO, PA0 6. a pulverulent auxiliary which transmits ultraviolet light and/or PA0 7. a fibrous reinforcing material and PA0 8. further conventional additives. This mixture is thickened, where appropriate after coating onto a sheet-like carrier, to form a semi-finished product, which is then finally shaped, and cured by UV irradiation after which it may or may not be heat-treated.
